Fractal Nexus Home Page

Welcome!
Welcome to my new and redesigned web page.  I'm pleased to present my new fractal galleries and am glad you stopped by!  First of all, I would like to apologize to everyone for the amount of time it has taken to get these pages updated.  I had originally wanted to finish the pages with the new format back in December and 'go live' in January.  The last time I updated my main page on Geocities was December 4th.  Just three days later, I had a heart attack at work and I was out of the loop for a few weeks.  Overall, it's taken months to get these new pages launched and I'm sorry you had to wait. :(  The good news is that I'm healthy again and working diligently to complete this website!

New Design and Graphics
You may have noticed that my website has all new graphics and navigation.  There are buttons on the left side and top and the fractal galleries can be accessed on the right side of the page.  I have created this template to make my web pages look and work more like the contemporary pages that are becoming more popular across the Internet.  Please e-mail in case you have any questions.

Fighting the Limitations of Metered Bandwidth!
I originally created this page back in 2003 with a free Geocities hosting account.  Five years ago, the 15 MB size limit and hourly metering of bandwidth was not as big a problem as it is today.  In the past 5 years, Yahoo/Geocities hasn't increased the size/bandwidth limits but the requirements of my website call for a lot more resources.  I currently have six fractal gallery pages set up which will collectively display 300 fractals.  I have created close to 2000 fractals and there is an excellent chance I will be doubling or even tripling the number of galleries.  Obviously, the limited, free hosting accounts won't suffice.  The natural question you would probably want to ask at this point is why I don't register my own domain and go with commercial hosting?  I worked at an ISP for over a year, supporting DNS, Internet circuit, e-mail, scripting and hosting issues all the time so I'm very aware of how to accomplish this.  I would absolutely love to have my own domain with hundreds of megabytes of storage and loads of bandwidth!   I would expand the website to include lots of my other interests, have guest galleries, literature sections, etc..  The reason I don't have my own domain yet is simply a monetary one.  Even with affordable hosting providers such as GoDaddy, I can't justify the cost of domain name registration and web hosting.   Below, is a PayPal donation button that you can click if you think my fractals are of value to you.   Any donations would be gratefully received and would help me to realize my goal of associating a domain with my website.  Thanks!
Fractals Are Now Linked from PhotoBucket
I am trying to prevent bandwidth cutoffs in two ways.  First I have optimized all the graphics on this website with a decent JPG Optimizer that shrinks them down to less than 50% of their original size.  This will save bandwidth and should help the pages load faster.  Secondly, all the fractals and their thumbnail images are stored on Photobucket.  My Photobucket account allows deep or hot linking and has phenomenal bandwidth limits.  This should help a lot more people access my website and look at a lot more fractals!  Please contact me in case you have any problem viewing thumbnail images or the full-sized images.

Image Use Rules
All images on this website are freely given for personal use only.  If you represent a company or are an individual interested in using any of my graphics for business or commercial use, please go to my graphics design page and read the information on how you can purchase these images.  They are very affordable and I will do whatever it takes to meet your business needs.  Please note that these images may not be altered or modified.  If I see chopped up versions of my images on MySpace, FaceBook, Photobucket, Imageshack, etc., I will do what it takes to get the image removed and possibly have your account cancelled.  I've had to do this a few times already and it's a nuisance and waste of my time, so please don't chop up my images.  As a matter of fact, try asking my permission first and you will be pleasantly surprised.  I'm perfectly willing to give you a copy of one of my images in high-res as long as you don't alter it without permission or profit from it at my expense.   If you have any questions about personal or commercial usage of these images, please click the 'E-mail Me' button on the left navigation bar.  Thank you very much!
